UNO Gas Pilot Project

Client:

KC8 Capture Services US

Location:

Alabama, USA

Project Summary:

Equinox was procured to complete a Front End Engineering Design for the UNO MK 3 FLECCS Phase 2 project which aims to optimize and demonstrate the UNO MK 3 solvent absorption technology for post-combustion carbon capture at the National Carbon Capture Centre (NCCC). The technology will be applied to flue gases from natural gas combined cycle (NGCC) and open cycle gas turbine (OCGT) power stations to enable flexible, low emission power generation in an electricity grid with high renewable energy penetration.

Overview:

  • Flue Gas System
  • CO2 Capture / Amine Regeneration
  • TEG Dehydration
  • Balance of Plant
  • HYSYS Modeling
  • MCC Building
  • Erosion Control Plan
  • Wet Utility Plan
  • Waste Water System

Scope of Work:

  • FEED Engineering
  • Technology Evaluation
  • Equipment Evaluation
  • Facility Layout
  • HAZOP & Safety Workshops
  • CAPEX, OPEX Evaluation

Bayu Undan has potential to capture and store 10 million tonnes/yr of carbon dioxide, making it one of the largest CCS projects globally.
