Angel Carbon Capture & Sequestration (10 mtpa)

Client:

Woodside Energy Ltd.

Location:

Karratha, Australia

Project Summary:

Equinox is currently executing a Pre-FEED study for the Angel Onshore Facility. The development concept is a subsea tieback to shore. It includes a purpose-built carbon steel pipeline. Onshore facilities are proposed to be co-located within Karratha Gas Plant (KGP) and are designed to provide pressure boosting to the CO2 transported via onshore pipeline as well as repurposing the existing jetty for Liquid CO2 import. The onshore facilities will include the ability to receive and temporarily store liquid CO2, boil-off management, power generation, post combustion carbon capture (PCCC) and utilities.

The Pre-FEED WORK associated with this project is focused on the Onshore facility. The Pre-FEED scope will cover the design of the pressure boosting pumps, power generation, PCCC, utilities system, liquid CO2 transfer system to shore, storage, boil-off compressors, and the liquid CO2 conditioning facility.
