Dehydration

Equinox specializes in facility design and construction projects that deal with dehydration (water dew point control) of natural gas streams. Water is commonly removed during gas treating with either TEG (triethylene glycol) dehydration or through molecular sieve dehydration.

Placid Compression & Dehydration

This project includes the design and installation of a grassroots, sour gas compression and dehydration facility designed for 62 MMscfd of raw inlet gas with 0.5% H2S, 12,000 bpd of hydrocarbon liquids, and 12,000 bpd of produced water. A TEG Dehydration unit was specified to reduce the water content of the water-saturated compressed sour gas from the inlet compressor.

Musreau Turbo-Expander (with mole sieve dehydration)

This 200 MMscfd gas processing facility included a deep cut, cryogenic turbo-expander train. Mole sieve dehydration unit was specified and installed upstream of the turbo-expander package to meet the required water specification. Both the Mole sieve dehydration unit and the turbo-expander train were deigned for 200 MMscfd capacity. The C2+ recovery from the deep cut facility is 18,770 bpd at 90% ethane recovery.

Ojay Sour Dehydration Facility

Equinox provided engineering, procurement, construction support and commissioning for this greenfield, sour dehydration facility. A Mole Sieve Desiccant dehydration unit was specified for 30 MMscfd of saturated gas production.
