Equinox is a world leader in Carbon Capture Utilization & Storage (CCUS) and related Hydrogen and Power projects in the energy and industrial sectors.

We are currently executing several CO2 capture, injection, compression and pipeline projects. Equinox has executed numerous projects to capture, store and inject acid gas (CO2 and / or H2S). Moomba Carbon Capture & Sequestration

Design of the lowest lifecycle cost and second largest CCS project underway globally. Benfield process technology for carbon capture, with 1.7 million tonnes per annum of CO2 to be sequestered and/or used for Enhanced Oil Recovery. Utilizing large centrifugal compression for wet CO2, compressed gas stream dehydrated and transported via pipeline to injection reservoir.

Wapiti Acid Gas Capture & Sequestration

Detail Design and installation of Gas Processing Facility (200 MMscfd) utilizing amine solvent based capture to separate acid gas stream (90% H2S, 10% CO2). The operation includes acid gas compression, dehydration and blending – allowing for dual mode (acid gas injection or blending into pipeline to sulphur plant).

Northeast Power Plant
Carbon Capture & Sequestration

Conceptual Study for existing Gas Turbine Power Generation Facility to capture and sequester 1.6 mtpa CO2. Primary components include inlet cooling tower, formulated amine CO2 recovery technology, intercooled and injection compression. Captured CO2 is processed to more than 90% purity prior to dehydration and pipeline to Enhanced Oil Recovery.

Carbon Capture & Sequestration

Detail Design and installation of brownfield Gas Processing Facility Expansion (400 MMscfd).  Amine sweetening based CO2 capture installed to separate acid gas stream (up to 70% CO2, 30% H2S). The facility utilizes two acid gas compressors, two acid gas TEG dehydrators. The captured CO2 and H2s is pipelined (carbon steel) to offsite sequestration wells for injection at 9,300 kPag.

Detail Design and installation of grassroots Gas Processing Facility (200 MMscfd) with amine solvent based capture to separate carbon dioxide (up to 95% CO2, 5% H2S). The non-dehydrated (wet) CO2 is transported via stainless steel with material selection and metallurgy being critical component of the system.

Detail Design and installation of sour Gas Processing Facility (100 MMscfd). Amine sweetening technology utilized for carbon capture (acid gas stream up to 70% CO2, 30% H2S). The facility includes acid gas compression, carbon steel acid gas pipeline and injection wellhead.

Detail Design and installation of sour Gas Processing Facility with dual amine sweetening trains (2 x 30 MMscfd) for carbon capture (acid gas stream up to 45% CO2, 55% H2S). The facility includes acid gas compression, and on lease sequestration wellsite.

Detail Design and installation of sour Gas Processing Facility including two amine sweetening trains (2 x 60 MMscfd) with acid gas compression (75% CO2, 25% H2S), sequestration, acid gas blending skid; dual mode allowing either acid gas injection at sequestration wellsite, or blending (to 5% H2S) to pipeline

Carbon Capture Utilization & Storage

Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage / Enhanced Oil Recovery. This project includes the design and installation of an expandable CO2 sequestration project – for 88 MMscfd of CO2 to be recovered.
