Empress NGL Complex (Plains)

The Empress NGL complex (2 km west of the Alberta/Sask border) has capacity of approximately 5.6 bcf (with 75,000 bpd of ethane and 55,000 bpd NGL). Equinox has executed a large program of Management of Change (MOC) and Sustaining Capital projects, meeting schedule and budget expectations. The diverse program of projects at Empress, as well as the the other liquids recovery facilities at the Steelman Gas Processing Facility, Fort Saskatchewan Fractionation Facility and Kerrobert Storage Facility include upgrade, modification, optimization and debottlenecking projects

 


Empress Straddle Plant

Empress Straddle Plant (Spectra)

The Empress Straddle Plant (near Burstall Saskatchewan) is a 2.4 bcf straddle plant with NGL production capability of 57,000 barrel-per-day. ). Equinox has executed a large program of Management of Change (MOC) and Sustaining Capital projects, meeting schedule and budget expectations.

 


Kaybob South (K3)

Kaybob South (K3)

The K3 Gas Plant is an existing sour gas plant with enhanced liquid recovery with a licensed capacity of 19,000 e3m3/d (675 MMscfd) of inlet gas and 3561 tonnes/d of sulfur. Equinox executed many Management of Change (MOC) and Sustaining Capital projects such as Rich Amine Filtration, Tower Re-tray, Liquids Handling, Sulphur Recommission Train 1 projects. Equinox also executed several plant optimization, debottlenecking, turnaround support and general maintenance engineering support projects.

 


Kaybob (KA) Amalgamated

Kaybob (KA) Amalgamated

The KA Gas Plant is an existing sour gas with a licensed capacity of 11,179 e3m3/d (397 MMscfd) of inlet gas and 1,100 tonnes/d of sulfur. Equinox executed many Management of Change (MOC) and Sustaining Capital projects such as Dump Liquids Hold Tank Upgrade, LPG Product Storage Reroute projects. Equinox also executed several plant optimization, debottlenecking, turnaround support and general maintenance engineering support projects.

West Whitecourt (WWC)

The WWC Gas Plant is an existing sour gas with a licensed capacity of 11,941 e3m3/d (424 MMscfd) of inlet gas and 1,333 tonnes/d of sulfur. Equinox executed many Management of Change (MOC) and Sustaining Capital projects such as Water Line Upgrade, Glycol Still Emission Control projects. Equinox also executed several plant optimization, debottlenecking, turnaround support and general maintenance engineering support projects.
